Apps that Help Combat Stress

Even on summer break, many students still experience stress. With SAT prep, AP summer work, college prep, and other activities, many people still have a lot to do during this season. To deal with stress associated with the many summer activities and work that people still have to do, here are some apps:

  1. Calm

This app focuses on leading users to live a more “calm life”. With meditation recordings, people can step away from their life to find greater peace. Life can be full of noise, so these meditations provide a small escape. The Calm App promotes relaxation through exercises, stories, and music.

  1. The Mindfulness App

This app also provides an emphasis on meditation, this one with various levels based on experience (beginners and advanced). There are many different options to choose from depending on your mood, varying in length, soundtracks, and notices.

  1. Happify

Happify helps you build a more positive lifestyle with different programs and exercises. Since increased happiness is associated with decreased stress, this app can help you with relaxation.

  1. Personal Zen

This app uses a gameplay format to reduce stress with proven techniques. By using this app, you can not only take a break to have fun, but you can simultaneously reduce anxiety and increase resilience, leading to a healthier and happier lifestyle.

  1. Colorfy

Although a coloring app, Colorfy can also help with stress. With many drawings and colors to choose from, Colorfy presents the opportunity to take a step back from life to partake in a relaxing activity.

Do you use any apps that help you destress? Let us know in the comments!
